2km from Corseul & only 10km from historic Dinan and 20km from the coast with its numerous glorious beaches, La Julerie is situated in a quiet rural setting away from main-roads. Ideal for families or groups who want to relax & enjoy Brittany’s charms in peaceful surroundings.
We have converted the farm longhouse and stables at La Julerie into 4 Gîtes. Each cottage has been individually re-created in the Breton style and we have taken great care to ensure that all the beautiful original timbers are exposed throughout, but at the same time have equipped each cottage with fitted kitchen, comfortable chairs and sofas & French/English TV, DVD players, wooden patio tables & chairs & barbeque equipment.
In 2005 we converted the existing barn into a large leisure room with a table tennis table, an area for seating and adjoining the barn we have installed a heated indoor swimming pool, but one with its own glass retractable cover, so in hot weather it is converted to an open air pool. Surrounding the pool there is an enclosed patio with numerous sunbeds for our guests. The whole swimming pool complex has been very popular with all of our guests.

Our tariffs are fully inclusive of all bath and bedroom linen, kitchen towels, serviettes etc, but we do ask guests to bring their own towels for use in the swimming pool complex. There are no extra charges, but we do take a deposit from guests on arrival against damages/losses and re-imburse it once we have checked through the property following the guest’s departure. UK guests are recommended to bring a UK bank cheque for this deposit otherwise cash need be provided.

There is ample parking space for guests.
La Julerie slopes gently to the south and is a natural suntrap; it is very peaceful being about 2km from main roads, but near historic towns such as Dinan & St Malo & many beautiful beaches & golf courses. As there are no other properties on the road to La Julerie and with space in our yard many guests bring their children’s cycles to use around La Julerie.

We have now listed over 50 different types of birds in the neighbourhood, including many swallows; they still nest in some of the buildings and are around all summer. At nighttime you may are more likely to hear owls than cars.

Les Ecuries has been designed to accommodate disabled guests, with wide doors, low level worktops in the kitchen, and a downstairs shower room. On the groundfloor this cottage has a corner kitchen, dining area and also an area with a settee-bed and comfy chairs. The walls are finished with a mixture of traditional Breton render and also exposed granite, the floors are tiled. Upstairs offers 1 double bedroom, and 1 twin-bedded with a further settee bed on the large landing, the bathroom has bath with shower attachments, toilet and washbasin.Should a guest have problems climbing the stairs we can place a single bed downstairs

Each Gîte has its own area of lawn and patio, but the rest of the 1/2 hectare of garden area is for use for the guests from all of the Gîtes, we have swings and a slide for the younger children and there is badminton equipment should you wish to set up a court and have a game.

We do accept pets, but only subject to prior agreement.

Smoking is not permitted in any building, only outdoors Payment can be made in either £ sterling or Euros. We do not accept Credit Cards.
